Warm Weather Art

Liven Up Your Walls
Posted on 08/04/2020

There’s something about the arrival of warm weather that makes many of us instinctively crave change within ourselves, within our routines, and - perhaps most attainably - within our homes.

While it can be tempting to dive headfirst into intensive home projects like wallpapering your bedroom or painting your kitchen cabinets, we’re big believers that some of the simplest changes can have the biggest impact.

Adding a new framed print to your entryway, bedroom, or gallery wall is a relatively easy job, but one which will instantly make your space feel more personalized, inviting, and truly you. And as a bonus, hanging up a print likely won’t make you want to pull your hair out at the end of the day (trust us - wallpapering and cabinet painting is not for the faint of heart).

Here are a few hand-picked prints that are perfect for freshening up your home for the warmer months.

'Söders Höjder' by Olof Plym Forshell

Nothing says spring quite like a perfect periwinkle sky without a storm cloud in sight. The contrast of the blue sky and mustard buildings in this photograph is surprising and eye-catching, and is sure to leave your walls feeling refreshed this season.

'Social Distancing' by Lukas Lind

Social distancing isn’t the most fun, but we think it’s a historic event worth remembering, and what better way to do so than with a beautiful print? This photograph by Lukas Lind features sharp contrast and a haunting image of a lone person in what is “usually one of the city’s most crowded places”.

'Sofia' by Calle Jansson

Jansson writes “This picture was taken on a warm evening in August from the top of Hammarbybacken, overlooking Stockholm and the Sofia church on Södermalm in its foreground.” The muted colors and golden hue of the clouds perfectly capture the atmosphere of warm spring and summer evenings.

'S/S Stockholm' by Jakob Granqvist

This photograph, which Granqvist says was taken during a warm summer morning in Stockholm around 5am, emits an undeniable sense of peace and calm. The soft ripples in the water and glowy windows of the boat feel absolutely ethereal. This photograph is certain to bring an aura of mystery and tranquility to any room in your home

'Lingering' by Ross Cosima

We know that not everybody is a big fan of color. This stunning black and white photograph by Ross Cosima evokes a certain feeling of nostalgia centered around warm nights, a healthy fear of amusement park rides, and a sense of community... one of those nights you wish to never end.

Lingering – Limited Edition of 50

As we wait for the world to return to its new normal, we believe it’s a great time to tackle small projects in order to help you pass the time, feel more comfortable at home, and to simply make your space feel happier.
